How to setup Outlook on mobileThis article will guide step by step on how to set up your email on Outlook on the phone. Having your email set up on the phone is very handy as nowadays you bring your phone everywhere and you have constant access to it. We all know that checking emails is vital for businesses so that’s why we wrote this article to help you out. We will be using a Samsung for the demonstration and we will also have a tutorial for Apple devices at the end. What do I do if I already have an email account set it up in my Outlook? If you already have an email set up on the Outlook app, please follow the screenshots below to add a new account onto the app. You want to click the top left icon, this will slide out a table as featured below, then, click the envelope with the blue button and it will slide out another table from below, then, select the "Add an account" option. This will bring you to step 3 as from there on you have to follow the same order of setting up an email. Step 1:Make sure you know your email address and password. This is important for multiple reasons. If you type your password wrong multiple times during this process it will block you on the firewall and you will have to contact us to unblock you. Step 2:Download Outlook from the PlayStore onto your phone, turn it on until you get to this screen. Type your email in the open box as the other options are for setting up google accounts in Outlook or simply creating a new outlook email. Step 3:Start by inputting your email and clicking continue on the bottom of the screen. Step 4:The next step is to select what type of connection do you want set up between your phone and the mail server. You can choose from POP3 or IMAP. To briefly explain, POP3 will download all the emails onto your phone from the mail server and it will delete them, meaning you won’t be able to access them from a different device. IMAP does the opposite and it stores them on the server and you can access it from multiple computers. This will automatically connect to the server meaning you won't need to type in the settings manually. Step 5:Now you will have a window asking you to type your password in. It will also ask you to type your display name in and description of the mailbox, as you see I set mine to “Work”. Step 6:Right after that you are all done and ready to use your email on your phone. It might take a while to load depending which protocol you used and how many emails you have. If you have any questions please contact us at support@webworld.ie and we will reply as soon as possible!

My email is blocked! What can I do?We tend to get this call quite often in regards to users being blocked on our firewalls. There are multiple reasons why you can get blocked on our firewalls. The most common scenario is that you typed a password in too many times or a device that you’re logged in at is constantly trying to log in using a wrong password. In this short blog article I will be able to guide you through a quick tutorial that you can use in the future to check for yourself if you are blocked on the firewall. The way to check if you’re blocked on the firewall is by trying to access your own website or trying to log into your web mail. We have an article on how to access your webmail which is fast and simple, I will be linking it below. LINK: http://blog.webworld.ie/weblog/how-to-access-webmail It is also handy to get familiar with this as it's great in case your main mail application stops working. So how do I tell if I am blocked or not?It is really simple, if you can see your website or you can see the log in page onto your webmail that means you are not blocked on the firewall and it is a completely different issue. However, if you can’t see your website or the webmail page at all, and it’s showing up as “connection timed out” or “can’t reach” that means you are blocked. Everything linked to the domain will now stop working from your IP address. That means you will not be able to send out or receive emails. Below you can see an example of being unblocked and blocked. The picture on the left shows a functional log in page for our webmail service, while the picture on the right shows an error while trying to display it. That's how you can tell the difference in being blocked. How can I get myself unblocked? To get yourself unblocked, there are 3 ways of doing it. You can ring us and tell us you’ve been blocked by providing your IP address. You can use websites such as https://ping.eu/ to get your IP address. You can also email us providing your IP address or you can wait until your block is over. Is there a way I can do it myself?Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple way to unblock yourself as you would need direct access to the firewall which only our engineers do. If I block myself, will that stop my website from displaying to other people? No, the block is only happening on your IP address which is specifically given to you. Everyone else will be able to see your website as usual. If I block myself, are other people in the office blocked too? They will be blocked if they are on the same IP address as you. If they are on a different IP address they will be able to use their emails as normal. If someone gets blocked in the office, will it block me too?As mentioned previously above, more than likely yes unless you are on a different IP address. If I’m blocked, can it be my phone's fault? If any of your details were changed recently in regards to your email address, you will need to update them on every device as that device will keep trying to log in automatically if you set it to remember your password. This will cause you to keep getting blocked over and over again. In future, how can I reduce the chances of myself being blocked? You can reduce the chances of being blocked by letting your mail application remember your password, or letting your browser remember it also. This will eliminate the chance of typing in the password incorrectly multiple times. If your password does get changed, please remember to update it straight away so your machine knows that the password has changed. If you do have any questions regarding this blog or anything to do with our services or products, please email us at support@webworld.ie or ring us at TEL: (01) 495 1112. We will be glad to help you out.
